Rādhā affectionately replied, “O Śyāmā, in my cottage in the bower last night, when I was bathed by a cascade of bluish splendor, somehow I was immediately transported to a golden dancing stage surrounded by thousands of Kāmadevas.” (Kṛṣṇa-Bhāvanāmṛtam 3.27)

Speaking like this, Rādhā swooned in ecstasy and momentarily forgot everything. Regaining consciousness, she again asked Śyāmalā, “Śyāmā, when did you arrive?” Śyāmalā replied, “I have just now come.”

Seeing that Rādhā was again lucid, she asked, “Sakhī, what’s going on with you? Your listless body clearly shows you are very tired. Your arms look like withered young lotus stalks, your lips are pale and the beautiful decorations painted on your cheeks are smeared.” (Ānanda-Vṛndāvana-Campūḥ 11.217)
